......I have just been on a special weekend break with a difference- it was all about me. It gave me time to chill and review how I can make my life happier and more balanced, and it all started with a huge piece of chocolate cake.

We may all be on the treadmill of life, but when that belt is running at full pelt it isn't easy to see what we're missing or even to draw breath. Now I gave up the gym when I got a dog, so I do get chance to see more but then work starts to take over.

My "Just Be You" weekend was well organized, inspiring, motivating and friendly and there was chocolate cake on tap. But what it did teach me was that I won't lose weight or achieve my goals until I think positive about myself.

It's funny- have you ever thought that when you are down or under pressure you feel heavy, yet when you are happy or in love you feel light as a feather? Being positive makes you feel lighter too.

There is an old proverb which says if you don't enjoy the good things you have now, how can you be happier with more?

I know I can't eat much more chocolate cake this week, but I do think my Just Be You weekend will keep me light as a feather for a long time.

I turned up with a degree of anxiety and anticipation and left with a great sense of inspiration, calm and sense of purpose in my life. I never thought my journey would be so fulfilling.

Tracey

I feel a much more 'centred' person with the knowledge I have taken away from the weekend and that I now know I have the ability and intention to make the most of myself.

I have become aware that, all of us (without exception), have special gifts which, given the right environment and support networks will become uncovered, but only if the person wants them to be.

That said, I made many new friends who I laughed and cried with, but felt supported with also. I know that these people will always be with me, as we shared so much with each other, in a warm, relaxing, safe environment.

I'm still buzzing from my weekend with you all. I had such a fantastic time. I don't know what part of it was the best. Meeting you all, the talks that you had arranged, the food & drink or the accommodation. Everything about it was perfect. I felt completely relaxed with you all, which for me is an achievement as I always feel uncomfortable around new people I don't know.

I have come away feeling much happier and even a bit more confident, I think. I'm certainly a bit more vocal at work. Not sure if that's such a great thing actually!!!

I know that when I do have some dark times and dark thoughts, the first thing I will do is think of that weekend and all of you and I know it will lift my spirit. It makes me smile now so I'm sure it will be a real tonic when I really need it.

Thank you so much again. You were all so supportive. Not critical and I miss you all already.
